Bio: Lupton Pittman (a.k.a the guy who stole his name from that surf nazi on Point Break)

Lupton refuses to tell anyone where or when he’s from, but he looks about thirty and seems to have been living on the beach about as long. He has, to my knowledge, never, ever, espoused a real opinion about anything. Everything he has ever said over three words he stole from one movie or another. He claims, when pressed, that he saves all his creativity for his writing and can’t be bothered to think of clever things to say. He calls himself the Einstein of conversation (you see, the rumor is that Einstein had like thirty of the same suit so he never had to decide what to wear, just like Lupton never has to think of an original thought in a conversation). Personally, I think it’s cleverer to only quote movies. And he does it (snap) just like that. No lag time. The man is a genius. His writing leaves something to be desired, but he’s just such a cool guy that I had to put him in the ‘zine. If you ever want to find Lupton, just head west ‘till you hit the beach and start yelling “the ex-presidents are surfers!” And watch out for Gary Busey.

I’m googling for my childhood friend, Lupton Pittman and the web is flooded with this character. So I get to know enough about this Lupton Pittman to say “He’s no genuius!”..He just lives in TVLand..he probably comes home,and says to his wife thinking he is actually married to Florence Henderson: “Yo Flo, Honey Flakes!..I’m Home!.
btw: The Lupton Pittman I knew should be in his mid-50’s. He was a gorgeous tall blonde always tanned yuppie!. The “Lupton” comes from his wealthy mother’s family sir name and the Pittman from his surgeon father’s last name. They made their home in Fayetteville, NC where many things, streets, and bldgs are named after the Pittmans. But they owned homes and businesses in many parts of the nation and world as I understand. But this guy is def. not cut from the same cloth by any means!

The character is indeed named after Lupton Pittman from Fayetteville. He pulled strings to get his name in the movie.
